Judith McDonagh is an artist based in London (b. 2002, Oxford). She studied History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, graduating in 2024, where she developed a strong academic foundation that informs her expressive visual practice. Judith’s paintings explore the boundaries of figuration and abstraction, often evoking atmosphere, memory, and emotional nuance. Her works most often evolve from automatic drawings, drawn directly into the canvas, thus allowing intuition and the workings of the sub-conscious to make the artwork.
