Judith McDonagh is an artist based in London (b. 2002, Oxford). She studied History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, graduating in 2024, choosing to develop her art practice independently and without curriculum, but with an academic foundation to inform it. Judith often uses paint not solely to depict a subject but to manifest and communicate the energy of that subject. Her works often evolve from automatic drawing, drawn directly into the canvas, thus allowing intuition and the workings of the sub-conscious to make the artwork.
